I believe 100% in the correlations between horsemanship and leadership. I am so excited to find your blog. I will keep this in mind for my clients that need training/team building–what a terrific way to look at trust, leadership, relationships in a different way! And thanks so much for including me on your blog roll!
Hi Susan,
Thank you for your comment and for your support of leadership through horses. I am really enjoying your Leadership Mutt Blog!
Hi Laura,
I am so excited that I have found your blog. About 6 months ago bought my first horse ( 6 year old mare ) We were doing really well and bonding etc….until about 8 weeks ago when we had a little incident, she bucked, I was in a light seat ( and I now know to far forward) her neck went down and I came off. I dislocated my elbow and was out of action until now. I am now back riding, but have really had my confidence knocked. Thank you for your blog, I can see I will refer to it again. Hi Nicola,
Thanks for commenting. I am sorry to hear about your accident. I completely understand how it feels to lose that confidence. I have another blog also http://ridewithconfidence.ca where I deal more directly with rider confidence and offer some practical tips. I haven’t been as active there lately as it is my third blog but you might find some of the posts helpful.
Good luck with your riding. Take it easy and one step at a time. Coming back from confidence issues is completely realistic but it is important not to rush or pressure yourself.
